Residency for the People (RftP) is een Artist in Residence plek in Eindhoven, opgezet door designers Lucas Maassen, François Chambard en Jip Geven, en schrijver Nanne op ‘t Ende. RftP biedt mensen tijd en ruimte om plannen te realiseren waar ze in hun dagelijks leven niet aan toe komen. Traditioneel is een Artist in Residence programma alleen bedoeld voor kunstenaars en designers, maar RftP staat open voor iedereen – dus ook voor jou. Je plannen hoeven niet kunstzinnig te zijn, het enige wat telt is dat je ze heel graag wil uitvoeren.

The residence is a platform created by designer Lucas Maassen, who prefers working with people above the working on things. The bar is co-run with Margriet Craens and Josine Beugels. In terms of production and finance, the full program is supported by Onomatopee Projects, whilst the building is generously offered for the duration of the pilot by Goevaers. Onomatopee’s budget for this program has been built from a combination of book sales, positive results from project-commissions and program funding by the Province Noord-Brabant.
